kudos galore
Dec
Since my involvement with Jackson Hole's Reduce, Reuse, Recycle campaign is, to a large degree, what got me involved with folks in our community who are committed to energy conservation and sustainability, it's only fitting that the following post was the most popular kudo of the past year:
kudos to Jackson Hole's RRR team
OK, I'll admit that I'm a member of Jackson Hole's Reduce, Reuse, Recycle team. Even so, I think this all-volunteer effort deserves recognition for a job well-done - with a sense of humor, no less.
And I'm not the only one who thinks this campaign is effective. After funding phase one of the campaign with local business contributions that matched a challenge grant from the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, the RRR team took full advantage of the Teton County Board of Commissioners' contribution of $10,000 for phase two's "How do YOU RRR campaign."
Was the campaign effective? You be the judge: The County Commissioners have earmarked another $10,000 for phase three, which will kick off on January 4, 2007.
(As of 12.28.07, 56 RRR Business Leaders have been recognized by the RRR campaign, and Teton County has earmarked another $10,000 for phase four of the RRR campaign … stay tuned.)
