holiday shopping

I typically don't even think about shopping for Christmas gifts until mid-December. In fact, I've been know to do most of my shopping on Christmas Eve. But this year, beginning with yesterday's post about Eco-Libris, I seem to be  more conscious of holiday shopping options — green options, especially.

The other day, a press release from SportsOneSource.com (subscription) landed in my email inbox. It touted ten top retailers who are leading the way toward sustainability at retail. The recognition came from Juice Energy, an electricity supplier with a focus on renewable energy sources.

Since some of my favorite brands are on the list, I thought I'd share Juice's kudos with Journal readers, and encourage y'all to support these retailers: Patagonia, Kohl's Whole Foods, prAna, REI, UPS, Timberland, Nike, Wal-Mart and Target.

Carbon Neutral Journal's kudos are brought to you by Grand Targhee Resort.
