facing climate change
Oct
Benjamin Drummond is a Seattle-based photographer and graphic designer who recently launched a multimedia presentation titled Facing Climate Change at Ecotrust's Natural Capital Center in Portland, Oregon. The focus of Benj's photography is on local people confronting a global problem.
As Benj says:
From volunteer glacier monitors in Iceland, to wildland firefighters of the American West and goat herders from Inner Mongolia, we profile ordinary people around the world as they confront and adapt to the complex issues surrounding climate change. This collection is designed to engage the American public through print and Web media, presentations and exhibitions.
If you can't get to Portland, you can view much of Benj's fieldwork for this project here.
The photography is stunning, Sara Joy Steele's text is insightful and compelling, and support from the Blue Earth Alliance is much appreciated — by Benj, Sara and me, at least!
Kudos to everyone involved in bringing this project to the public.
Carbon Neutral Journal's kudos are brought to you by Grand Targhee Resort.
