That's the name of the Pedal-Powered Machine contest just announced by Specialized Bicycles, Google and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.

Innovate or Die challenges participants to help save our planet, one pedal stroke at a time, and offers a top prize of $5,000 and a Specialized Globe bike for each team member (limited to five). The contest closes on December 15th, with winners to be announced January 15, 2008.

Here's the call to action:

Invent an unheard-of, unprecedented pedal-powered machine. Build it, film it (and post it on YouTube). Just make sure that all energy generated by your invention has human pedal-power as its original source.
