Inhabitat.com is a blog devoted to the future of design, tracking the innovations in technology, practices and materials that are pushing architecture and home design towards a smarter and more sustainable future. A few weeks ago, Inhabitat ran a feature on the top six sexiest cycles, which inspired me to do a similar post. Coincidentally, one of my favorites also made the Inhabitat list.

I'll start with the Brompton Folding Bike, my all-time favorite for commuting convenience. When you've got to get back and forth to the train station, this is the bike to have.

Next on my list is this carry-all commuter bike from Vanilla Bicycles–handcrafted in Portland, Oregon, and well worth the wait to have Sacha White build a one-of-a-kind bicycle for you.

And finally, here's a bike I've mentioned in previous posts: the Bamboo Bike from Calfee Design.

So there you have it, some eye candy for a Monday. Whether you fancy one of my favorites, or lust after one of the bikes Inhabitat featured, the point of this post is to get you thinking about the bike as an attractive and viable alternative to your car.
