One of my Reduce, Reuse, Recycle teammates is offering  alternatives to petroleum-based plastics, tree-based papers, and other unsustainable materials with a full line of biodegradable, fully compostable products and 100% recycled paper.

Grocery bags, trash bags, sandwich bags, hot and cold cups, to-go containers, deli containers, plates, bowls, utensils, napkins, paper towels, doggie poop bags, toilet paper, and office paper– ALL biodegradable and/or 100% recycled.  These products are made from one of the following;  PLA (polylactic acid) made from the glucose of corn and potato crops, Begasse (sugar cane), Chinet Natural (post-industrial waste from milk carton production), EarthShell made from limestone and renewable starch, and Cellophane made from cellulose a component of trees and plants.

Products are currently warehoused in California, which adds transportation costs and impacts, but local demand could lead to a local warehouse.
